See how residents at other properties have fun, too! Introducing “Fun Recipes” for sharing the fun across the entire Social Apartment community

When people hear the term “social apartment,” many probably think of interactions among residents.

While daily interactions in the lounge and kitchen are a given, and there are plenty of opportunities to get together—such as seasonal events and welcome parties—the truth is that unique and varied “activities (events)” organized by residents themselves take place every day at each property.

To help everyone share these wonderful experiences and memories from each property, Social Apartments has created a feature called “Fun Recipes” within the resident-only app.

What is “Asobi Recipes”?

“Play Recipes” is a feature created around the concept of “Let’s share recipes for the various events held within Social Apartments among residents!” It also serves as a sponsorship program designed to encourage interaction among residents.
So, what exactly are the appeal and benefits of “Play Recipes”? Here are three specific points!

① Sponsorship funds are available!

Events submitted by residents are evaluated based on their originality and uniqueness.★For “Play Recipes” that receive at least one approval, the management office will provide a sponsorship grant. The system is designed so that events that are novel compared to past ones—or those where the organizer’s dedication and passion are particularly evident—receive higher evaluations and qualify for larger grants (ranging from 5,000 yen to a maximum of approximately 40,000 yen).

② The application process is simple! Just fill out the form in the app!

Event organizers submit their applications and enter the necessary information in advance via the app. After the event concludes, they upload photos and submit a report summarizing the event and providing a recap, which the organizing committee then reviews.

③ You can also browse recipes from other properties!

Recipes that earn a rating of ★☆☆ or higher will be shared in various ways based on their rating, such as “featured in the app’s archive,” “highlighted in columns across all properties,” or “published as web articles.”

Expanding Connections Through “Asobi Recipes”

#1: Terminals Shin-Osaka Yodogawa Fireworks Event

This is the recipe for an event attended by about 100 people held at Terminals Shin-Osaka, which opened last year. The event—a combination of a “new property opening ceremony” and “one of Kansai’s largest fireworks displays”—was held on the rooftop and was a huge success.

This event was jointly planned by our sales team and the “Fireworks Support Club”—comprising 10 residents who were part of the opening group. They prioritized ensuring participants had a good time while also focusing on “managing the number of attendees” and “being considerate of nearby residents.”Although there was a sudden rain shower partway through the event, the team handled it brilliantly through flexible and coordinated efforts.

We’ve received heartwarming feedback from the Cheering Squad members, such as “The preparations were the most fun part” and “It felt like a school festival—so exciting!” Even with our busy daily schedules, we were able to find a little time after work or on days off to prepare without feeling overwhelmed—and that’s only possible because we all live together under the same roof.

#2: Inter-Building Futsal Tournament

The inter-property futsal tournament turned into a large-scale event with a total of 200 participants from 16 properties. Each team was required to include at least one female player, and goals scored by women were worth two points—just a few of the thoughtful touches designed to ensure everyone could enjoy the game in a casual atmosphere.

Participating teams included not only current residents but also former residents, and the excitement was palpable—with some large complexes, such as those housing over 100 households, even fielding two teams. The venue was filled with energy from start to finish. This kind of large-scale interaction is unique to social apartments.There are many residents who possess the agility to expand their social circles one by one—even if they’re connected to just one other property—and the positive attitude to come together across property boundaries.

Even for those who aren’t naturally familiar with a particular activity, opportunities abound at these events to take that first step—whether because “a close friend invited me” or “it looks like a fun festival with people from all sorts of properties participating”—and discover new hobbies and communities as a result.

Organized by Residents! A Futsal Tournament Between Building Teams with 200 Participants

#3 Neighbors Higashi-Jujo: Adult Cultural Festival

In stark contrast, this event—themed “Adult Cultural Festival”—was organized by the residents of Neighbors Higashi-Jujo themselves. While these residents are usually active, going out and enjoying sports, this day was dedicated to sharing and showcasing hobbies related to their individual “cultures,” serving as a time to deepen connections within the building.

Living under the same roof, residents were able to discover surprising sides of one another and learn about each other’s interests.The event featured exhibitions by photography and book enthusiasts, as well as sweets provided by the “Late-Night Sweets Club,” whose members usually bake treats in the kitchen late into the night. Furthermore, taking advantage of “COFFEE BASE”—a space unique to this coffee-themed building—guests were treated to freshly brewed, authentic coffee and tea.

Toward the end of the festival, we spread out butcher paper and paint, and everyone used their hands and fingers to create a giant piece of art in just 30 minutes! The event concluded with a grand finale: a chorus of “Bridge of Glory,” accompanied by a resident on piano and guitar.
