We will report on the Welcome Party at Neighbors Esaka, which was overflowing with love for the property.
Neighbors Esaka, the fifth social apartment building in the Kansai area, opened in October 2023. Six months have passed since its opening, and with another spring moving season, we have added even more friends. We held a Welcome Party where all Neighbors Esaka residents, from opening members to new residents, and the housekeepers who keep the property clean on a daily basis, could get to know each other while getting to know the property.
The reason for the Welcome Party
Many people who move into a social apartment take the first step to "experience this kind of living at least once in their life" in search of new opportunities for social interaction and new opportunities. Many of them take the first step to live in a social apartment, saying, "I want to experience this kind of life at least once in my life! Once you start living in a social apartment, you will meet many new people. Once you introduce yourself and get used to the lifestyle, you can go down to the lounge and cook together, watch TV, etc., and you will start to interact with new people and make friends with new faces. However, there are many residents who say, "To be honest, I am shy at first," or "I went to the lounge, but I was so nervous that I went back to my room right away. Also, as they have been living in the share house for longer, they have made friends with the usual residents, but they are not so fresh and spend more time in their own rooms than in the lounge....
We started this project with the hope that recent tenants would have a chance to get to know the residents, and residents who have been here since the property opened would have a chance to meet new people and enjoy themselves.
The Welcome Party was held in the lounge space of Neighbors Esaka!
On Saturday, April 20, residents gathered in the lounge of Neighbors Esaka to start the Welcome Party. While preparing snacks and drinks, we also prepared a lot of Mister Donut. In fact, Suita City, where Neighbors Esaka is located, is home to the famous Miss Donut Museum!
How to Live in NEIGHBORS ESAKA
After toasting everyone, the first social event, "How to Live in NEIGHBORS ESAKA," began. There are still many things about the rules of social apartments that we don't know, and some of them are still misunderstood. Based on the residents' comments that there are still many things they don't know about the rules of social apartments and that they have often misunderstood, a quiz related to actual daily life was held in a team competition.
Also, based on the answers to a pre-survey from residents, we asked questions such as "What time of day do you use the lounge the most" and "Where is your favorite seat? and "What is your favorite seat in the lounge?
Even if they live in the same building, they have different lifestyles, so it was a great opportunity for the residents to get to know each other better by finding out what time of the day they go to the lounge! This was a great opportunity for future exchanges!
Housekeepers are a big part of social apartments
At the end of the quiz, the housekeepers greeted the residents.
Neighbors Esaka's housekeeper:
I was interested in the new and modern lifestyle and started working at Neighbors Esaka. And I love Esaka!
I enjoy greeting everyone and communicating with them while working. I also enjoy greeting everyone and being able to communicate with them while I work. I know that there are rules unique to social apartments, and that there are things that need to be taken care of in common areas, but when I see how everyone gives in to each other and cooperates with each other, I am amazed at how nice people really are.
I feel as if I were their mother. Although we are in different positions as housekeepers and tenants, we share the same love for Neighbors Esaka, and we hope to keep the property as beautiful as it was when we first opened. Once again, thank you for always using the property so beautifully and for your good manners. We look forward to working with you in the future.
and some said they "almost cried" at the warm housekeeper's words of love...
One of the features of Social Apartment, a one-person plus α apartment, is the large lounge and workspace, but it is a bit difficult for residents to do the cleaning themselves... For this reason, Social Apartment has housekeepers who clean the property 4-6 days a week. People tend to think of cleaning as hiring outside cleaners, but the housekeepers at Social Apartment are employees of our company. Therefore, the housekeepers who work for us are all attracted to Social Apartment and decided to move in, as well as those who share our lifestyle and want to work here.
Their daily job is to clean the lounge, kitchen, and other areas outside of their rooms, which are called "common areas. It is also the housekeeper's job to collect forgotten or left items according to social apartment rules.
Those who have lived in share houses in the past have told us that they were impressed with the cleanliness of the share house. The housekeepers are indispensable in maintaining a comfortable space, and they support the property.
Unlike other tenants, the housekeepers are like mothers. They are the people who live here and the people who create a comfortable environment for the residents. The "thank you" to each other is what makes Neighbors Esaka what it is, and it is this sense of consideration that naturally arises as we try not to cause trouble for the housekeepers and ensure that the next person who uses the room can use it comfortably.
Commonalities lead to exchange of ideas
After enjoying a short chat and laughter, we switched teams and played a game to find commonalities! In five minutes, everyone on the team had to find something in common and write it down. The discovery of unexpected commonalities brought laughter here and there, and the game became a big hit! The winning team found more than 20 points in common.
The Welcome Party was a great success!
The fun time finally came to an end. Participants commented, "It was fun to talk with people I don't usually have a chance to talk with," "It was wonderful that housekeepers participated in the event! I'm glad I live in Esaka," and "I like Esaka more now.
Some of them are promising to go to the next event on their next day off, such as "Let's go to 00 on our next day off! Some of them even promised to go to the next one on their next day off, such as "Let's go to 00 on our next day off! Although the event this time was hosted by our company, many of the residents themselves planned the event and had a great time in and outside of the property.
It was a memorable event that left a strong impression of the solidarity of Neighbors Esaka, which has been in operation for only six months, and the love for the property. I look forward to seeing more new members join us in the future! Neighbors Esaka is full of friendly, fun-loving residents.
