Social Apartment’s pre-completion open house is an event where we explain life at Social Apartment using our currently operating properties as examples, while also giving you a tour of the property that is still under construction. (*We take safety very seriously.)

While typical open houses are held after a property is completed, it’s a tradition at Social Apartment to host them even before the building is finished. The appeal of these events lies in the fact that, precisely because the property is still under construction, you can get a feel for it while imagining the new life that’s about to begin.

In the past, it has often been the case that dozens of reservations were made for the first viewing, resulting in a full house.
It’s also common for the most desirable units to be snapped up almost entirely during the first open house.

It’s also an opportunity to imagine, “What kind of people will be living here?” In some cases , people who attended an open house have gone on to make their very first friends at Social Apartment.

Now, let’s take a look at what these open houses are like by examining some past examples.

■Step 1: Experience life in a Social Apartment at an existing property

Many people who attend pre-completion open houses have never lived in a social apartment before.
So, we start by giving a tour of the completed property and set aside time for attendees to visualize what life there will actually be like.

As they tour the lounge, workspace, and bathrooms, we carefully explain the facility’s rules, the characteristics of life here, and the vision for Social Apartments that we hold dear.

Since pre-completion properties do not yet have furniture or other furnishings, touring the actual common areas allows you to get a concrete sense of what life will be like once the property is finished.

This time, the event was held at Neighbors Yoga, which is set to open soon.
Seeing the property while it’s still under construction helps dispel any concerns you might have, such as, “Will it really turn out as wonderful as the promotional images suggest?”

Everyone was fascinated by the “before and after” explanations of the property.
They were amazed to see that the property was coming together exactly as depicted in the renderings!

■Step 2: Moving to the Property Under Construction

After that, it was finally time to head to the property under construction. Since we’re moving a large group, we sometimes travel by bus. For the first open house, we used a large bus that can accommodate up to 45 people. With an atmosphere just like a school field trip, participants enjoyed this out-of-the-ordinary open house, even joking, “Wait, what am I even here for?”

Two people who happened to be seated next to each other on the bus discovered they were the same age, hit it off, and both decided to apply. They said they were going to a nearby café together after the viewing, so they’d already met their future neighbors.

During the trip, we introduced them to “Kojiya,” the neighborhood where Neighbors Haneda is located.
We highlighted the lively shopping district and the Konan store—located just a 3-minute walk from the property—and everyone was excitedly imagining what life would be like after moving in.

■Step 3: “A Hub Connecting You to the World”—We presented the luxurious lounge, reminiscent of an airport lounge, and the focused workspace!

We finally arrived at Neighbors Haneda!
A few people were surprised, remarking, “It’s more of a construction site than I expected…”

Since the space is still under construction, our staff carefully explained the “before and after” using renderings and floor plans.

“We’ll tear down the wall you see here to open up the space. Then, a projector will be mounted on the ceiling, and a 120-inch screen will be installed on this wall!”
“A large dining table that seats 10 will be placed in this area, serving as the hub for everyone to socialize.”
“Elements of the property’s ‘travel’ theme are also planned to be incorporated into the design here.”
As they toured the space, imagining the creative touches and changes the renovation would bring, it felt almost like they were on a field trip.

It’s true that many people say, “I can’t really picture it until it’s finished,” but precisely because you’ve seen the construction process firsthand, the sense of wonder when it’s complete is all the more profound. Part of the appeal of this preview event is that it offers a special experience where you feel like you’re a part of the project.

“In the main lounge, we plan to install a large dining table made with luxurious artificial marble and a 7-foot pool table. People might feel a little nervous talking to each other at first, but playing a game naturally helps everyone get to know one another!”

The Social Apartment lounge is packed with thoughtful features designed to encourage social interaction.
