TARROW TOKYO and SOCIAL APARTMENT collaboration item "FLEECE JACKET" goes on sale!

In 2024, a team of tenants from Neighbors Higashi Jujo took on the challenge of making clothes as the second round of the "Clothes Making Project," which began in 2023.

The goal of this project is to create new items by planning unique ideas and user-oriented concepts that are born from the fact that social apartments are home to people from diverse industries, ages, and nationalities, and by working with professionals in the clothing-making industry.

FLEECE JACKET" creates an opportunity to connect people

This year's project started in July under the theme of "Clothes that create opportunities to connect people with each other.

This theme was born from the feeling of one of our members who moved into the Social Apartment, "I wonder if I will be able to get along with all the residents after moving into the Social Apartment. Wearing clothes designed specifically for the social apartments would create conversation and a sense of togetherness, and would be an opportunity for residents to connect with each other.... With this in mind, we began making clothes based on this theme.

The "FLEECE JACKET" was completed after about 4 months of production.

We envisioned the scene where the jacket would be worn in common areas such as social apartment lounges and working spaces, and focused on the loose, soft, and comfortable "fleece. In addition, since there are also scenes where residents go out with other residents, we chose the "jacket" type so that it would not be too rough. It has a function and design that can be used in a wide range of situations, from everyday use to outdoor scenes.

Furthermore, we have incorporated a lot of ideas from Social Apartment residents in every detail. The collar is perfectly balanced, not too stiff and not too long, for wearing in common areas. The pockets are designed to maintain a fashionable look, but also to prevent the back of the pockets from being seen from the outside when things are put in them. The fabric is made in the U.S.A. with the function of blocking cold air while maintaining breathability.

Two colors are available: lime and dark gray. To determine the color, a questionnaire was sent to the residents of Neighbors Higashi Jujo. The two colors were finally decided based on the voting results.
