Revert to the original text

This is a corner where we ask our tenants to share their experiences at Social Apartment. This time, we would like to introduce Yupi, a resident of Neighbors Higashi Jujo.

Social Apartment is full of events.

I was surprised to find that there are events every day since I entered Social Apartment.

From small day-to-day things like cooking together, birthday parties, home-drinking, etc., to in our case, cultural festivals, music festivals, New Year's Eve, etc., there are just so many events.

I'm a retired person, so my participation rate in events is not very high (laugh), but I really appreciate it because the events help us to get to know each other better and have new experiences.

Today I would like to talk about Social Apartment's events!

1. Seasonal events. Christmas, Cherry blossom viewing, birthday parties, etc.

Christmas and Halloween parties, New Year's Eve events. From annual events such as Cherry Blossom Viewing and BBQ to events initiated by someone who says "Let's do this! and "Let's do this!" to events that are initiated by someone else.

When someone in the common area comes up with an idea, the people around him or her take on the idea, and before you know it, a LINE group has been formed. Christmas and Halloween are events that you would pass up if you were alone, but Social Apartment makes you think , "I want to do this together with everyone.

Since moving here, I have come to appreciate the changing of the seasons.

2. Large-scale events. We have a music festival and a cultural festival.

Neighbors Higashi Jujo holds a cultural festival every November, and it is really full of contents! We perform magic, musicals, dance, eisa, shamisen, etc., offer sweets and food stalls, enjoy art together, and exhibit writing and photography.

Once again, I was amazed at the amazing talent they all have! I am amazed. I was amazed that they could do such a thing. I thought. I feel a gap when I see people who are usually working hard in the common area dancing to the beat of their own drum. The decorations and poster designs are full-fledged and everyone is very enthusiastic.

I also have fond memories of the music festival that the members organized and rented out a live music club. Many of us can play instruments, so we played a wide range of instruments, from live violin, acoustic band, ukulele, musical, and rock band. It was a lot of practice, but it was a lot of fun!

It was a lot of fun!

3. Getting to know everyone. Minshiru Kai

At the "Minshiru-kai," held about once a month, one of the residents gives a presentation and talks about himself/herself for about one to two hours. This event was originally held at other properties, and was imported to Neighbors Higashi Jujo and passed down to Neighbors Higashi Jujo.

It is a great event where you can ask questions to the public and get to know an unexpected side of the residents.

I was also a speaker at the event.

Outdoor events. Trips, mountain climbing, fishing, camping.

Because there are a certain number of people in a social apartment, it is attractive that everyone can enjoy activities together, such as renting lodging through Airbnb and staying together, going mountain climbing, fishing, and camping. I am an indoor person, but I got involved with everyone and went to many places.

Camping under the stars
Participating in an international snowball fight tournament in Niigata

5. Daily small gatherings. Cooking and drinking in a relaxed atmosphere.

We cook together, watch a romantic reality show, go to the neighborhood sauna, and have a few drinks. It's not a big event, but it's a small daily gathering.

I think I like these small gatherings the best.

Drinking at home

I especially like to have a drink in the privacy of my room with about three other people. It's so easy and comfortable to say, "Let's meet downstairs and go shopping," "I'm going to get some beer from my room," or "I'm getting sleepy, so I'm going to bed. I recommend this kind of home-drinking on a dare.

Looking back, it looks like I participate in many events, but I have a very low participation rate and only attend about once or twice a month! (Laughs) Still, I think social apartments are a place where people can build relationships at their own pace.

(laughs) Still, I think it is a social apartment where people can build relationships at their own pace. When I asked about other properties, I found that there are movie nights at properties with movie theaters, small properties where people spend time together around a pot like a family, social gatherings across properties, sports festivals, board game nights, and more.

This really varies from property to property, so please use this only as a reference!
