Social apartments are rental apartments that include a lounge and other public spaces in addition to conventional private rooms. It is a new style of living that "expands your world" and allows you to enjoy community with other residents while ensuring your privacy.

Social apartments where people with diverse jobs, hobbies, and ways of thinking live together. The number of tenants in this house is as many as the number of people who live there, and each has its own way of living.

This time, we interviewed Mr. Zogu, who has lived in Social Apartment Miyamaedaira for 3 years and Neighbors Musashi Nakahara for 5 years, for a total of 8 years.

Zogu came to Tokyo with the desire to work in music and started living in a social apartment. Currently, he is working for an artist management company, where he is involved in a 360 degree process of creating artwork for artists.

He says, "Even after living here for 8 years, my curiosity about social apartments has never stopped.

I moved to Tokyo to work in music. A hitchhiker led him to Social Apartment.

───What made you decide to live in a social apartment?

I was working for an electrical equipment company in Gifu, but I decided that I wanted to work in music. So I moved to Tokyo, but I hitchhiked out of the city without deciding on a house. The person who gave me a ride told me about Social Apartment, saying, "I heard there is a place like this.

At first I came to Tokyo without deciding on a job, so I did some sales work through introductions from residents. Now I work in music at an artist management company.

─ ─ How did you feel when you actually lived in the Social Apartment?

When I first arrived, I had almost no friends in the Kanto area, but now I have made a number of people I can trust.

I was lucky enough to have a Christmas party the day I moved in. That's when the number of people I could talk to suddenly increased.

We plan an event for every occasion. Even adults can be so youthful!

When I first moved into Social Apartment Miyamaedaira, I used to plan events with "Anan," who moved in at about the same time. I still have fond memories of those days.

What surprised me when I moved in was how serious everyone was about having fun.

For example, when we decided to have Nagashi Somen (fine white noodles served flowing in a small flume) in the summer. There was a neighbor who had a bamboo grove, so I went to him and asked him to let us do it. He gave it to me.

We spent many nights crafting bamboo, made a super-long Nagashi Somen and had a Somen party.

When we decided to have a field day, we rented out a school where we could stay overnight. We had a cavalry race, relays, BBQ, curry, and so on.

I was amazed at how even adults could be so youthful! I was surprised.

─ ─ This is exactly the youth of adults! How do you usually spend your time?

When I first joined Miyamaedaira, I didn't care if it was a weekday or not.

Recently, we sometimes have an early morning running, breakfast cooking, and movie watching party on weekends.

Running is very popular in Musashi Nakahara, and the other day about 30 of us ran a full marathon!

Many people who live in Musashi Nakahara are very active. Many people also like camping, and I have been doing it for about four years.

Anyway, my hobbies have increased tremendously!

Work, hobbies, play, and friends. My life has changed a lot during my 8 years at Social Apartment.

─ Have you seen any changes since you have lived here?

I have met so many different people, and I have learned that there is such a job and such a way of life. I didn't know there was such a way of life!" or "Let's try this! or "Let's try this! and "Let's try this!" in our daily life. I think the more you live here, the more fun things you will have.

In terms of work, I was introduced to some jobs in the beginning, and I have also been asked to do some video work by people I met at the property, and they have been very helpful.

I have also made friends that I am sure I will be friends with for the rest of my life.

Work, hobbies, play, and friends. Living in a social apartment has really changed my life.

Even after living here for 8 years, my curiosity about Social Apartment is still unabated because there is always something new and exciting going on.

I am so glad to live here! I am so glad to live here.

─ Once again, what kind of place is Social Apartment for you?

It's like a school for adults.

There is a group of people who are close to each other in the property. There are events where we can make use of our specialties. We all create events together, like a cultural festival. There are exchanges with other properties. There is entrance and graduation.

In my case, I stayed too many years (laughs).

─ ─ Do you have a message for those who are considering moving in?

I really recommend it to those who are moving to Tokyo!

You will make more friends, have more hobbies, and experience many things. My work has changed, my values have changed, and I have become more active.

As for living in Tokyo, the kitchen and laundry facilities are shared, so you don't have to prepare much furniture.

I can really recommend this place to those who want to be young adults.
