Social Apartment is "home" for me. I chose Azabu Juban for my new job in home health care nursing, and this house has enabled me to live at my own pace.

A social apartment where people with diverse jobs, hobbies, and ideas live. Each of them has their own way of living in this house.

This time, we will talk to " Kazuki," who has been living in " Social Apartment Azabu Juban " for six months.

She moved into Social Apartment Azabujuban six months ago after moving to a new job at a home nursing hospital in Minato-ku.

During the interview, Kazuki was relaxed from start to finish, talking openly with the residents present. As he said, "Social Apartment is "home" for me," he seemed to truly love living here.

We asked Mr. Kazuki about his life at the Social Apartment.

I cook, eat, drink, and talk with everyone. Such is life.

───What made you decide to live in a social apartment?

I was working as a nurse at a hospital in Tama, but I changed jobs to a home nursing hospital in Minato Ward. I needed to live in Minato-ku because I was on-call at night for home nursing.

I was looking for a place to live in Minato-ku and found Social Apartment Azabujuban. I have been living there for about six months now.

─ Why did you choose Social Apartment Azabujyuban?

I didn't have any friends over here, so I wanted to make friends. I had been living in the Tama area since I moved to Tokyo from Tochigi, so all of my friends were from West Tokyo.

─ Did you feel any resistance to living together with other people?

I didn't have any particular resistance. But I was shy, so for the first three weeks I couldn't come downstairs even once. 3 weeks of hiding in my room and getting used to the work and the Azabu Juban area, then I started going down to the lounge.

─ How do you usually spend your time in a social apartment?

I like to stay at home, so I spend time in the lounge every day. After work, when I am cooking and eating, everyone comes home, so I start drinking and talking. When night falls, I go back to my room and sleep. That's how my days go.

The kitchen is well equipped, so it is easy to cook. I have learned to cook dishes that I would never have cooked if I lived alone, and my repertoire has expanded.

When I cook, everyone eats it. When I cook, people naturally gather to eat (laughs).

Also, I travel around the house for work, so it's nice to be able to come home when I have a little free time. There are usually a few people at home who work remotely, so we have a little tea, dinner, or chat.

"Do you want to go here?" And I like to go out on a whim.

─ Do you ever go out for fun?

I go out to eat or have a drink in the neighborhood. But I don't really make plans and say, "Let's go here" or "Let's do this.

We just gather together at the place where we have free time and say, "Let's go here. We often just go out and have fun in a spontaneous way.

─ ─ Compared to other properties, Aso Juban's property is smaller, with a maximum of 27 residents, so perhaps that's why the culture of getting together on the spot to hang out has developed.

Indeed, that may be the case. Oh, but there is also a kind of "shop-touring" in Azabu Juban. I went to restaurants that I would not go to by myself. Sushi restaurants that don't rotate, trendy bars, and so on.

Azabujuban is surprisingly home to many common restaurants, and we often go to izakaya (Japanese-style pubs) and ramen shops that we all go to.

There were also several social gatherings with other properties. When I go to these events, I find it interesting that each property has a different atmosphere.

──Has anything changed since you have been living in a social apartment?

My way of thinking about work has changed.

Perhaps it is because of the location of Minato-ku, but there are many people who work very hard, and many of them are very impressive. Talking with these people made me think that I should consider further career development.

I had been a nurse all my life, and my friends around me were only nurses, so I had never thought about aiming higher.

I think the reason for this change is because I lived in a social apartment.

I like this lifestyle so much that even when I am out of the house, I want to come home immediately.

─ ─ Once again, what kind of place is Social Apartment for you?

It is a place where I feel at home. It is a place where I feel at home.

I really like living with someone I can invite when I want to go out on a whim.

─ ─ Do you have any recommendations for people who are thinking about moving into a social apartment?

Social Apartment is a place where you can choose when you want to socialize and when you want to relax in your room.

I think the good thing about this place is that you can live at your own pace and without any tension. I would recommend this place to those who are looking for that kind of lifestyle.
