If you want to live in Neighbors Yoga. Holiday Morning Edition in Yoga
When you live in a social apartment, conversations often take place in the lounge, exchanging information about the city, such as "I went to that restaurant for lunch yesterday" or "I'm curious about that public bathhouse over there.
I think it is because we are together with other residents that we are able to expand the scope of our exploration of the city.
This time, we would like to introduce the town where Neighbors Yoga is scheduled to newly open in March 2026.
What kind of image do you have when you hear the word "Yoga" in Setagaya Ward? Is it a fashionable town? An upscale residential area? but many of you may not know what it actually is or what you can do there.
In this article, Kido, a Neighbors Yoga development staff member, introduces some spots that you should visit on a slow day off.
Eating exquisite pancakes at "Here Comes the Sun.
On a holiday when you don't have any plans and wake up later than usual, it is a good time to visit a place where you can enjoy a delicious pancake. Whether you go alone or invite a couple of tenants who happen to have no plans, we recommend a breakfast at "Here Comes the Sun.
The restaurant is located an 11-minute walk from the property. It is just the right distance to get some exercise before breakfast.
The interior, designed by the owner himself in the image of restaurants and lobbies of design hotels overseas such as in the U.S. and Australia, is very cozy with a sense of openness.
When you visit the café in the morning, you will often find your neighbors gathered there, giving you a better sense of the daily life of the city. On the day of the interview, customers of all ages were enjoying their meals, from mothers' groups with small children to elderly men from the neighborhood. (Dust).
I ordered the "MOMMY PANCAKE! Morning & Brunch" with sausage and fried egg.
The pancakes are made with special ingredients such as "Lulu Rosso," a flour produced in Rumoi, Hokkaido, known as "golden wheat," and "unrefined sugar," which is rich in minerals and contains 12 times more calcium than three-temperature sugar. They are light and chewy, making them suitable for both meals and snack pancakes.
The pancakes are not too sweet, so when you finish eating them, you will find yourself saying, "I want another pancake! I finished the pancake so quickly that I thought to myself, "I want another one!
Next time, I would like to try the sweet pancakes with fruit on top. It is fun to order different kinds of pancakes and share them with others. It would be fun to have a conversation on the way home about which pancake to try next.
The coffee was selected from WOODBERRY COFFEE ROASTERS, also in Yoga, and went perfectly with the pancakes.
Once your stomach is full, refresh yourself at Kinuta Park.
A visit to "Kinuta Park" is also recommended after taking a walk.
Kinuta Park is characterized by its vast lawn and abundant trees, and is a place of relaxation for people of all ages, including families, couples, and the elderly. The park is said to be about eight times the size of Tokyo Dome.
It is a perfect place for cherry blossom viewing, especially in spring, and seems to be a well-known spot for those in the know.
On a fine day, it is also a great place to bring sandwiches and coffee and have a picnic on the lawn.
The park was renovated from a former golf course, and the paths are wide enough for strollers and wheelchairs to easily pass through, and there are few ups and downs, making it a great place for running and biking. Tall trees provide moderate shade, making it a pleasant place to run.
The Setagaya Art Museum is also located in the park, making it a great place to enjoy nature and art at the same time.
Designed by architect Shozo Uchii based on the concept of "an art museum as a living space," the space is gently flooded with natural light and has large windows overlooking the lush greenery of Kinuta Park. It is a good place to visit with fellow art lovers or just drop by aimlessly.
Incidentally, Setagaya Ward has one of the highest dog-owning rates among the 23 wards in Tokyo.
The owners who come to Kinuta Park are all very friendly,
On the day of the interview, everyone was very friendly and chatty. Some of them even handed out their dogs' Instagram accounts as business cards!
Even though pets are not allowed, you can meet many cute dogs here.
Coming here to be healed with fellow tenants who love animals is a great way to spend a holiday.
Before going home, I went to a public bath called "Fujinoyu.
A 12-minute walk from Kinuta Park toward Yoga Station brings you to "Fujino-yu," an elegant public bath featuring an old-fashioned miya-zukuri style. The historical building in the middle of a residential area made me feel as if time had stopped there. This place is a must-visit especially for those who love public bathhouses.
The inside of the bathhouse features a high, open ceiling. The men's and women's baths are separated by a wooden pavilion (amatsuya), which makes you feel as if you are in a hot spring inn.
Another point that personally attracted me was the hinoki cypress baths, which are rare in public bathhouses.
It is a luxurious moment to relieve daily fatigue while being soothed by the good smell of cypress.
The bathtub is a little cooler than the main bathtub, so you can soak in it for a long time.
Fujinoyu frequently announces its yakuyu schedule and events on Instagram, so you can go there to take advantage of the yakuyu of your choice.
Many people stop by after running in Kinuta Park or Komazawa Park, and they also offer temporary luggage storage for runners.
It might be a good idea to go to a public bath in the afternoon and have a drink afterwards. Because it is a holiday with no plans, it is important to pamper yourself. Sharing such time alone or with other residents may be the secret to enriching your daily life.
We also visited a coffee roastery and a shopping district. The staff working there were friendly, and when we told them about a new property opening in the neighborhood, they all seemed happy to listen to us. I was reminded once again of the real pleasure of savoring a town when I heard the warm words, "Please come back again.
One of the charms of social apartments is that the stage for living extends to the city as well. I think it is because you are living with other residents that you can enjoy the city even more.
Next time, we will bring you "How to spend the night". Please look forward to it!
