On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, an event called "KIFUBAR for STARTUP" was held at "Graphic Grill & Bar" in HOTEL GRAPHY in Shibuya, where social apartment residents who have launched their own businesses took the stage.

This event was held to support the challenges and activities of social apartment residents through a unique "the more you drink, the more you donate" system. About 40 people attended the event, including residents, friends, and people who are considering moving into a social apartment. The presentations by the speakers led to lively exchanges among the participants, making for a lively evening.

What is KIFUBAR?

KIFUBAR is a cash-only bar event based on the concept of "the more you drink, the more you donate. A portion of the participation fee and drink costs are donated to charity. Since the first event in 2017, KIFUBAR has been held more than 80 times and a total of more than 2.1 million yen has been donated.
So far, the event has also collaborated twice with the Social Good Neighbors (SGNs) project of Global Agents, Inc. which operates social apartments. The event has become a popular venue for residents who face social issues to speak at the event.

This time there were five speakers! 40 participants support the residents.

This year's KIFUBAR was a special edition to support social apartment residents in starting their own businesses and activities. 5 speakers gave presentations on their projects.

Order Busters Corporation (World Neighbors Kiyosumi Shirakawa)

Under the slogan of "Reduce corporate order entry to zero with AI," this company develops and provides systems that streamline manual work onsite. The speaker himself is the president of the company he founded. Donations are appreciated, but they are also looking for others to help them together. His explanations were easy to understand, and he also played a role in enlivening the audience.

Call Butler (Social Apartment Mitaka)

An on-demand interpretation and guidance service for foreign visitors to Japan that uses AI to make reservations and inquiries over the phone on their behalf. Amidst the growing demand for inbound services, we were impressed by the practicality of this service, which meets the need to alleviate the stress of not being able to speak Japanese. They met the co-founder at Social Apartment and are currently looking for a collaborator.

trunk9 (Social Apartment Eda)

Using a bicycle stall, this company operates under the concept of "encouraging people to pursue their dreams. He was the only creative among the speakers this time and added a new perspective to the event, including his business activities.

What's Up Japan! Guide (World Neighbors Kiyosumi-Shirakawa)

Provides local sightseeing tours for foreign visitors. This project aims to connect visitors to Japan with the local community while uncovering the charms of the area.

Onigiri-Bou- ( Neighbors Musashi Nakahara)

Sells original T-shirts with kanji names to foreign residents. This is truly one of the businesses created by the social apartments, as it was started with friends who met after moving in. The brand name "onigiri" expresses their wish to give shape to "your personality," and they are looking to expand their business not only to T-shirts but also to inbound business in the future.
KIFUBAR2
At this event, there were many people who were considering moving into a social apartment. Reasons for participating ranged from the simple, "I want to talk to the residents" and "I want to know what kind of people live here," to more specific reasons such as "I am interested in starting my own business or becoming independent, and I want to be inspired," and "I want to hear from people who are working toward self-realization.

After the speakers took the stage, there was a lively exchange of ideas among the participants. Starting with self-introductions, participants were seen here and there sharing their challenges and thoughts, and the entire venue was filled with positive energy.

KIFUBAR for STARTUP" was a valuable opportunity for participants to connect with each other and support each other's challenges, despite the casual format of the event.

This event deeply overlaps with Global Agents' corporate philosophy of "realizing a society where people can strive for self-fulfillment. The evening was an opportunity to experience the virtuous cycle of people taking on new challenges and people who share and support their aspirations, all in the setting of a "home" called a "social apartment.

KIFUBAR will be held periodically in the future. We look forward to seeing you at the next KIFUBAR, whether you participated this time or not.

▼What is the Social Good Neighbors Project?
We hear more and more about "ethical," "food loss," and "SDGs," and I would like to do something good for the world, but I don't know what exactly I should do. This project started with the idea of starting something good for the world, little by little, "together and having fun" through social apartments.
Through various social good activities, we will challenge ourselves to do what we would like to do together as a catalyst for a gradual change in consciousness.
