Organized by tenants! A total of 200 people participated in the inter-property futsal tournament
Social Apartment" is an exchange-style rental apartment that currently has 50 buildings and approximately 3,100 rooms mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Unlike ordinary rental apartments for single people, many residents move in for the purpose of "social interaction," so a wide variety of events are held every day, such as eating meals together and going on trips.
Most of the events, whether large or small, are organized by residents on a voluntary basis. Although some events are held by Global Agents, the management company, there are many events that are planned and managed by the residents.
This time, we would like to report on the "SA (Social Apartment) Futsal Tournament," an inter-property exchange event actually held mainly by the residents.
April 6, 2024, was blessed with a refreshingly sunny day.
The event held that day was the "SA (Social Apartment) Futsal Tournament" hosted by the residents of "Neighbors Musashi Nakahara"!
A total of 200 people from as many as 16 social apartment properties participated in this large-scale event. The event was a huge success, with a total of 200 people from 16 different social apartment buildings participating!
At 11:00 a.m., members of each team gathered one after another on the court, and the tournament began.
Participating teams were made up of tenants and former residents of each property, and the excitement was so great that two teams from a large property with over 100 households competed. There were also joint teams with other properties, and the teams quickly became friends with tenants from other properties.
At 12:00 p.m., the preliminary league began, with four teams in each group.
Since the top two teams must place in the top two teams to advance to the final tournament, each team was fired up for each match. This time, women were required to participate, so there were many female participants as well as men.
The cheering for not only the participating players but also for the teams naturally grew stronger.
In between games, the results of the other teams' games were also carefully checked! Each team was passionately aiming for the final tournament!
At 2:00 p.m., the eight teams that had successfully won their preliminary block were all present. From this point on, the players and cheering fans alike were fired up, as the competition was serious and would end if the teams lost! The audience cheered for the teams both on and off the court, creating a sense of unity and excitement in the hall.
When a goal was scored, the players were seen sharing their joy together with the cheering members!
The semifinalists were FILMS Wako, Neighbors Higashi Jujo, Neighbors Saginuma, and World Neighbors Gokokuji. Some of the members play futsal on a daily basis, and both teams played at a high level.
The final match was a top-of-the-line battle between Neighbors Saginuma and World Neighbors Gokokuji, the winners of the semi-finals! The semi-finals and final were closely contested, and finally went to a penalty shootout!
The winner of the penalty shootout was World Neighbors Gokokuji, who won the top 16 properties!
At the closing ceremony at 4:00 p.m., the tournament organizer awarded prizes to the top teams.
The SA Futsal Tournament" came to a close with great fanfare.
Here is a group photo of the participating teams!
This futsal tournament was the catalyst for other events such as basketball and volleyball, which were planned by volunteers one after another. Of course, there will be more events in the future, not only sports, but also music, movies, travel, and more. These sporting events and encounters with many people may be things that "I could not have experienced if I did not live in SA. There may be new possibilities than living alone. If you have such a feeling, I believe that experiencing it will open up a new world for you.
