When you hear the phrase "living in the Shin-Osaka area," what kind of lifestyle comes to mind? Some may think, "It's convenient for commuting, but what about living in the Shin-Osaka area?" Some people may feel that "living in the Shin-Osaka area is convenient for commuting, but how is it for living?

Around Terminal's Shin-Osaka, which is scheduled to open in August, you will find not only convenient living facilities, but also a riverside area perfect for cycling and a number of bars where you will want to become a regular customer. There are also several public bathhouses within walking distance.

Terminals Shin-Osaka is a social apartment that does not have showers or toilets in the rooms.
The baths at home are nice, but sometimes you want to take a relaxing soak in the city's baths. You want to discover your favorite spot with your sauna-loving friends. You must be in such a mood sometimes.

This time, we introduce a public bathhouse as the third part of our neighborhood introduction! Sales staff members Kuroda and Taguchi actually visited the bathhouses they were interested in and report on them here.

To fall in love with a public bathhouse is to fall in love with the city.

Researching the area around Shin-Osaka Station - Umeda Station, we found six bathhouses.
There are many variations, from traditional "sento" bathhouses to "super sento" bathhouses with full facilities and facilities where you can enjoy natural hot springs.
One of the joys of visiting sento is being able to choose the one that best suits your mood and plans for the day. Here are some examples by category.

Traditional Sento

The warmth of these bathhouses, rooted in the local community, is their appeal. If you become a regular visitor, you can enjoy meeting the locals.

Takara Yu
Access from the property: 14 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by bicycle
Ginsuiyu
Access from the property: 29 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bicycle
Hazumura Hot Spring
Access from the property: about 15 minutes by bicycle, about 25 minutes by train

The closest one to the property is Takarayu, located near Hankyu Juso Station. It is just 5 minutes by bicycle or 14 minutes on foot, so you can return home to the property while enjoying the breeze after taking a bath. Ginsuiyu and Hazon Onsen are more than a 30-minute walk away, so access by bicycle or train is recommended, but it would be a nice change of pace to stop by for a short while after work.

Super Public Baths" with full facilities

With a variety of bathtubs and relaxing spaces, you can enjoy yourself all day long at this facility.

Natural hot spring Hinata no Yu
Access from the property: Approximately 19 minutes on foot or 6 minutes by bicycle
Natural hot spring Naniwa-no-yu
Access from the property: 15 minutes by bicycle, 25 minutes by train

With a variety of hot springs, saunas, relaxation spas, and other facilities, a super public bathhouse is a place to stay for at least 2 hours and enjoy yourself.

Other bathing facilities

We also introduce sauna facilities exclusively for men.

Sauna Shan
Access from the property: 19 minutes on foot or 8 minutes by bicycle

Sauna Shan is a men-only sauna facility, with two sauna rooms, a rest area, and in-building clothes, and seems to have an atmosphere similar to that of a health spa. Sauna lovers should definitely visit.

Sento experience: I visited Takarayu and Hinatayu.

Although we would like to visit all the public bathhouses, we visited Takarayu and Hinatayu, which the staff was curious about.

■Takarayu

Takarayu is a 2-minute walk from Juso Station and a 14-minute walk from the property.
Takarayu, with its traditional downtown appearance, boasts a carbonated hot spring. It has a far-infrared sauna room and a full range of baths, including an electric bath, fitness bath, and water bath.

Kuroda commented:
"I was surprised to see that it is separated for women and men from the shoe box at the entrance. The staff was friendly and this is going to be my favorite public bathhouse! I really wanted to stay for about 2 hours, but I regret that I had to leave the bath quickly because I wanted to go to the second one! "

I felt that the atmosphere of being a part of the community, where you can suddenly overhear the chitchat of your neighbors, is another charm that only an old-fashioned public bathhouse can offer.

Natural Hot Spring Hinata no Yu

I was impressed by its location, just a 6-minute walk from the business district around Shin-Osaka Station. Bicycle parking is also available free of charge. The facility is located on the ninth floor of the building, and upon exiting the elevator, a calm space with a wood-grain interior spread out before me. It is both modern and luxurious, making it a perfect little extraordinary space for healing on your days off.

The most attractive feature of Hinatanoyu is its "natural hot spring. The mildly alkaline hot spring water is said to be effective for beautiful skin and is also known as "beauty water. It is said to be effective in promoting blood circulation and relieving fatigue, making it the perfect environment for relieving daily fatigue.

Kuroda commented:
"I was surprised to find my skin moist after bathing. The moisture lasted as if lotion had been applied, and I realized the power of natural hot spring water! It is a luxury to have such a good quality hot spring in the city. "

After the bath, I had a "Bullpo" (Pocari Sweat + Red Bull energy drink) at the cafe corner rest area. The interesting thing about Hinata no Yu is that you can enjoy the "footbath" after the bath as well. Towels are also available for rent at no extra charge.

Conclusion

Public bathhouses and social apartments are actually very compatible. The common area of a busy property is nice, but sometimes you want some alone time. You want to have a long talk alone with your good friends at the property. Or you want to go to a super public bath that is a little too far away for you to go alone, but you want to go with a group of people. I think you can enjoy public bathhouses for a variety of occasions. Even if you are not in the habit of going to the bathhouse, you may be invited by someone you have become friends with to go to the bathhouse.

It may be difficult to visit all the public bathhouses in your neighborhood, but it is a town where you live. Please visit all the public bathhouses in your neighborhood and find your favorite one.
