You might still be considering a service apartment, or AirBnB, but the main different between us and the competitions is that we have amazing clean facilities (usually cleaned 5-7 times a week-- you won't find that in any hostel) on-par with service apartments with far less dodgy customer service help (aka, real people in Japan), and the number one reason, community! (You're definitely not going to find that in an AirBnb or service apartment) 

Due to local laws, you will have to pay for the duration of your stay up front via credit card if you are abroad (be aware there is a 4% processing fee), or if you have a Japanese bank account you can make a domestic wire transfer for little to no fee. The good thing about paying for your stay up front is that you won't have to pay any of the guarantor fees that you would normally if you pay month by month.
